Dairy-Free Nutella Recipe

Say Goodbye to Dairy with this Homemade Nutella Recipe

Indulge in a rich, chocolatey spread without the guilt with this easy recipe for homemade, dairy-free Nutella. Made with just a few simple ingredients, this hazelnut spread is a healthier alternative to the store-bought version, and it’s just as delicious! Spread it on toast, use it as a dip for fruit or add it to your baking recipes for a chocolate boost. Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

• 1 cup roasted hazelnuts

• 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

• 1/2 cup powdered sugar

• 1/4 cup coconut oil

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet. Roast them in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until fragrant and the skins begin to crack.
  2. Once the hazelnuts are cooled, place them in a food processor and process until they turn into a smooth paste.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt to the food processor and process until everything is well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Enjoy your homemade dairy-free Nutella on toast, as a dip for fruit, or as an ingredient in baking recipes!

Please Note: it’s important to note that many store-bought Nutella products contain palm oil, which is linked to deforestation and habitat destruction for many animal species. By making your own Nutella at home, you can control the ingredients and choose sustainable options. Also, when choosing ingredients, select palm oil-free coconut oil and cocoa powder. This not only supports the conservation of natural habitats but also helps to promote ethical and sustainable agricultural practices.
